TAPE ORDERING TIPS
Preparing Your Order
Not sure where to start?
No worries — we’re here to help make things easy.
1. Tape Specifications
Begin with the basics:
-
Tape Type: Choose a substrate suited to your application.
-
Tape Grade: Thickness impacts both strength and durability.
-
Width & Length: Available in standard sizes listed in our tape description pages.
-
Base Color: Select from the standard options also shown in the tape description pages.
2. Quantity Requirements
Tape is sold by the case. The number of rolls per case varies depending on the tape’s width and length, which will be confirmed when you place your order.
Tip: Knowing how much tape you typically use each month can help us recommend the ideal quantity for your needs.
3. Artwork & Printing
Creating custom printed tape? Keep these guidelines in mind:
-
Design Simplicity: Clear, bold designs work best — think logos, names, statements, or symbols (like Amazon’s signature arrow).
-
File Format: For the sharpest print, submit artwork as a vector file (AI, EPS, or PDF). High-resolution raster files (TIF, JPG, PNG, PSD) may be acceptable but could incur additional fees for conversion. We’ll always consult you before proceeding.
-
Ink Colors: Choose from our spot color chart. Custom PMS colors are available for an added fee. For optimal printing, avoid having ink colors touch.
-
Repeat Length: Choose a repeat distance of 4″, 5″, 8″, 10″, or 12″, measured from the center of one instance of your artwork to the next.
